Default I believe this is the off topic Forum?

While you were hopefully some place warmer or sitting inside, or doing something more sane. This is where I was from about 9 AM until 4:30 PM. Due to a lack of participation, they combined groups or they would have run until 5:40!

Meeting is at 7:30 AM, headed out sometime after 8. Yes that's snow...

Can't use any of these for stock.

Same group again tomorrow. I hit the road again in five hours. Better take a nap.

You must live on coffee. That's a sweet Mustang.

Bottled water (straight from my own faucet in the rest room at the office), diet coke. Never drank coffee, alcohol is strictly forbidden for safety reasons.

Layers of white clothes, mostly from Salvation Army, rain coat over all that, stocking cap, multiple pairs of gloves, so I can change them throughout the day, extra pairs of warm dry socks, waterproof work boots.

Best seat at the races, but you can't sit down...

Oh I do, I do...

That's why I worked on getting my account activated and accepted at Alamy. That's done. Sold my 70-200 2.8 IS USM and 1.4 extender, in January. Just bought a Canon 100-400 today because I needed the reach for racing. Had money left over for a 580EX.

Now with all those select toys/tools, I better turn out something that produces a return.

I was working for the track, not as a photographer last weekend. Had to snap one of the weather. Just one more part time job that pays for camera equipment.

Edit added tonight: Ride in the country with the new lens and I shot lens tests. (On a tripod, remote cable release) Seven hours later, back at the office, checking. I'm not so sure I'm overly impressed with the 100-400, but I'm still comparing.

One thing for sure, the 28-135 "walk around lens" keeps looking softer and softer, every time I buy a newer L lens. And the 100mm Macro is super sharp! I like it more and more every time I use it.
