I didn't do that because it's part of the sweep the eye takes from the lower left
hand corner, up the middle of the steps, to the entrance of the church, up the
steeple, circling left again.

Oh and by the way, the church was not built that way. I don't have any idea why you thought that! It's the distortion caused by the lens which was 16mm, cuausing the tilt. The church in real life is plumb to the ground. At least it appeared that way to the eye.
