At the beginning of the year I purchased Bowens Esprit Gemini 500w?s three head kit so that I can photography against a white background (2 heads for the background, 1 head for the model).

The modelling lamp is used to light the subject so that you see what you are doing. I have the modelling lamps set to turn off when the flash fires.

Recently attended a 2 day studio training session where Elinchrom lights were used.
The Elinchrom lights are smaller and lighter then my Bowens and I liked the way the Elinchrom softboxes can be folded away. I can?t get my Bowens softbox apart.

Both bands are easy to set up and to use.
