I would go for as many photos as you can get with each photo shoot. I have learned to schedule as many photo shoots as possible in one day. For example I did a photo shoot a few weeks ago with eight people. I had them scheduled to come though out the day with every one being there by noon so I could do group shots. When the group shots were done I continued doing the individuals. It looked like I did a few different photo shoots. That one shoot gave me 300 usable photos. This is how I get a better bang for your buck.
It takes a lot out of me and I know my photos would be better if I schedule them on different days. But I feel at this point is better for me to have more good photos than a few amazing photos to gets me closer to my goal.
Doing photography this way has afforded me to quit my day job at that time with around 1200 photos on the different sites. I have a ton more now on ss and is...I work by myself I don't have an assistant I fix my own photos and when I do this twice a month I get 300 to 500 photos a month.
Lately, I have only been doing one of these a month...I need to get with the program and do at least 2 of these a month for a year...but it's a lot of work fixing 300 photos by yourself. I would love to have another 2000 images by the end of the year. That is the goal...we will see.
Once I start earning the Yuri bucks I will hire a graphic designer
