I'm really trying to learn Illustrator CS3 and have made great progress. One question I can't seem to find is what resolution to set when opening a new file, 300 dpi or screen resolution (72 dpi). The problem is that when I save a 300 dpi size vector as .ai CS3 the saved file size is 1.8 mb. But when saved as a required EPS Version 8 that same file comes up as a whopping 29.9 mb. that takes forever to upload.

Am I missing something.
