I replying to this thread because it's the same topic, but a different situation.

I have a photo of someone taken from the back. However the clothes he's wearing, combined with a hat and objects in the photo, would make it obvious to himself and a dozen other people, who this is.

Do I need a model release?

I can post the photo if anyone wants to see it. It's a friend and I've given him photos for charity and his website, It's not a big issue. I'm just wondering for clarification, and if I need to get a model release in other cases like this?

Or because the are no recognizable facial features, I could use the shot as RF, no release needed?
