RF = Royalty Free Item
The term Royalty Free (RF) is used to describe the unrestrictive license of Stock Media. Available as a single file asset (i.e. a photographic image, footage, or audio clip); or as part of a thematic collection of assets on a CD, this short-form media can be used limitlessly, with few restrictions, for many projects or campaigns, and with out any additional licensing fees or royalties. Once purchased a Royalty Free licensed item may be used many times for many projects without paying any additional fee.

RM = Rights-Managed
Rights-managed products are licensed on a use-by-use basis. The fee for using the product is calculated from several factors including size, placement, duration of use and geographic distribution.

Editorial Use
Editorial rights are licensed on a use-by-use basis. Use in an "editorial" manner means use relating to events that are newsworthy or of public interest. Newsworthy publications, academic curricula, research papers, personal/educational publications etc.
